Helen Blejerman is a Mexican artist and writer based in the UK. She works as an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Art and Design, Sheffield Hallam University, where she explores radical ways of collective thinking for artists and the public. Her graphic novel Lulu the Sensational was published in France by Presque Lune Éditions, and was named ‘graphic novel of the year’ in ComFor, by the University of Cologne. A few years later, Lulu the Sensational and the Family Secret was published in English, along with Helen’s second graphic novel, Tito and the Love Letters. She co-wrote the film As Sure the Rain, which was awarded a Silver Laurel by The Independent Film Awards in Los Angeles, California. Her work has appeared in Art Monthly and The Guardian, as well as in numerous anthologies and art magazines in Mexico and the UK.
